Join our Intermediate Level Rocketry Workshop and embark on an exciting journey into the physics of rocket building and launching. This hands-on course introduces students to essential STEM concepts such as gravity, thrust, trajectory, aerodynamics, and Newton's laws of motion. Model rocketry is a captivating way to ignite interest in STEM during middle and high school. Workshop Tenets Hands-On Project-Based Learning: Engage in practical, research-based activities. Physics Exploration: Dive into the science behind rockets and flight. Rocket Construction: Build and simulate model rockets. High-Altitude Launches: Send payloads to heights of 1000 feet and beyond. Aerodynamics and Flight Principles: Experiment with core principles of flight. Innovative Experiments: Use sensors, cameras, and gadgets for earth exploration. Team Collaboration: Work together and present your findings. Learning Objectives Scientific Principles: Understand gravity, pressure, thrust, trajectory, aerodynamics, and Newton's laws of motion. Flight Simulators: Use simulators to predict and analyze rocket flights. Model Rocket Building: Construct your own model rocket. Rocket Launch: Conduct a launch from an approved site. Deliverables Model Rocket: A fully constructed model rocket equipped with payload and sensors. Science Journal: A comprehensive journal documenting your research and experiments.
