Wireless Communication Workshop: Explore the World of Wireless Technology Enhance Your Knowledge with Amateur Radio The goal of this course is to use Amateur Radio as a vehicle to improve the quality of education by providing a curriculum focused on wireless communications. This workshop emphasizes the integration of technology, math, science, geography, language skills, and social responsibility within a global society. By understanding the value of wireless technology and its role in today's world, students will achieve wireless technology literacy and be encouraged to join the fraternity of Amateur Radio, applying what they have learned. Course Content Introduction/History/Opportunities/Career in Wireless Communication: Learn the origins, evolution, and career prospects in wireless technology. Communication with Codes: Explore different coding systems such as Telegraphy, Morse Code, Braille, ASCII, and Binary. Communication Protocols: Understand key protocols like OSI and AM/FM Broadcasting. Basic Wireless Station Components: Get hands-on experience with the fundamental components of a wireless station. Building Crystal Radio: Construct and operate your own crystal radio. Presentation: Present your projects and findings to demonstrate your understanding and skills. Workshop Tenets Hands-On Project-Based Learning: Engage in practical projects that emphasize learning by doing. Physics Exploration: Dive into the principles of wave propagation and modulation.
